3/18/2019 Trust Center General Availability Azure Government is the first commercial cloud service to be awarded an Information Impact Level 5 DoD Provisional Authorization by the Defense Information Systems Agency. This provisional authorization allows all US Department of Defense (DoD) customers to leverage Azure Government for the most sensitive controlled unclassified information (CUI), including CUI of National Security Systems. Azure Security Center (ASC) now helps streamline this process with the new regulatory compliance dashboard, which was recently released to public preview. The regulatory compliance dashboard provides insight into your compliance posture for a set of supported standards and regulations, based on continuous assessments of your Azure environment. 1/18/2019 Trust Center New Features The K-ISMS certification was introduced by the Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) and is designed to ensure the security and privacy of data in the region through a stringent set of control requirements. Achieving this certification means Azure customers in South Korea can more easily demonstrate adherence to local legal requirements for protection of key digital information assets and meet KISA compliance standards more easily. 12/7/2018 Trust Center New Features Microsoft data centers and operations centers handling Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Dynamics 365 have been evaluated by independent auditors as meeting the strong security requirements of the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX). TISAX is used by European automotive companies to provide a common information security assessment for internal assessments, the evaluation of suppliers, and as an information exchange mechanism. 11/14/2018 Trust Center New Features Recently at the Microsoft Experiences18 conference in Paris, we shared that Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Dynamics have been granted a Health Data Hosting (HDS) certification. This makes Microsoft the first major cloud provider capable of meeting the strict standards of storing and processing health data for data centers located in France, and under the new certification process that began in June 2018. 10/12/2018 Trust Center Region Update Microsoft is announcing the expansion of our FedRAMP Moderate coverage for our public cloud regions. A total of 50 services are now available, creating new opportunities across a broad array of federal agencies. For those government agencies with citizenship requirements and more controlled access to certain types of data, Azure Government will continue to offer services at FedRAMP High, with the addition of the government cloud guarantees around heightened screening of personnel, management exclusively by U.S. citizens, and other important protections. 5/3/2018 Trust Center Updated Feature We are proud to announce that our Azure Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST) Common Security Framework (CSF) Certification was not only renewed by HITRUST, but our certification scope has expanded from last year by more than 250 percent! The HITRUST CSF Certification is the most widely recognized security accreditation in the healthcare industry. The HITRUST CSF builds on Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, by providing a framework for complex compliance requirements that include technical and process elements such as HIPAA, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), The Information Services Office (ISO) and Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) to ensure controls are in place to safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI).
