3/5/2019 Service Fabric Preview Features Service Fabric Processor is a new library for consuming events from an Event Hub that is directly integrated with Service Fabric, it uses Service Fabric's facilities for managing partitions, reliable storage, and for more sophisticated load balancing. At the same time it provides a simple programming interface that will be familiar to anyone who has worked with Event Processor Host. The only specific requirement that Service Fabric Processor imposes is that the Service Fabric application in which it runs must have the same number of partitions as the Event Hub from which it consumes. This allows a simple one on one mapping of Event Hub partitions to application partitions, and lets Service Fabric distribute the load most effectively. Link Link Details
2/11/2019 Service Fabric Security Update On 2/6, a security update to the Ubuntu xenial rssh package was made available via public Ubuntu package sources. The updated version (2.3.4-4+deb8u1build0.16.04.1) introduced a fault in Service Fabric's ImageBuilder process. This process is used when provisioning applications and the cluster runtime in Service Fabric. Ubuntu based Service Fabric nodes will be unable to do core management operations unless the dependent package is downgraded to the previous version (2.3.4-4). Guidance in Context. Link Link Details

11/30/2018 Service Fabric Updated Features We're excited to share that the 6.4 release of the Service Fabric runtime has started rolling out to the various Azure regions along with tooling and SDK updates. This release was announced at Ignite earlier this year, and over the next couple of weeks, the updates will be available in all the Azure regions. What's new in Service Fabric 6.4? Create and manage Azure clusters with Windows Server version 1803 (with the ability to run Windows Server version 1803 container images) General availability of the automatic backup and restore service that allows you to backup the data in Stateful Reliable Collections and Reliable Actors without any code. A viewer for data is being shipped independently. General availability of EventStore APIs for easier diagnostics (with integration in Service Fabric Explorer). Linux cluster events are now pumped to syslog and can be viewed in Log Analytics. Link Link Details
